Four countries conducted independent systematic reviews of evidence for puberty blockers and gender-affirming hormones in minors. All four concluded the evidence was insufficient to support routine clinical use and moved to restrict or eliminate it from standard care. The reviews were conducted without coordination — Sweden and Finland both acted in 2020, Denmark in 2022, and the UK in 2024.
